Our Story

The Port St. Lucie mission was first established in September of 2010 under the leadership of Pastor William E. Potts, Sr. and Lady Phyllis Potts. With the ongoing support of Dr. Andrew Leach, NLIC originated its first bible studies within the chiropractic office space for a period of 3 years. In February of 2014, NLIC acquired its first rental space. On March 16, 2014, NLIC leadership initiated the Sunday evening worship services and in January 4, 2015, NLIC began their 11AM Sunday worship services. Since then, the mission of Port St. Lucie has continued to thrive; expanding ministry programs that are designed to teach people the gospel and how to live according to God’s word and calling on their lives.

Our Ministry Goals & Objectives

  • Take self-examinations to see if the fruit of the Spirit is operating in our lives
  • Possess a fervent love for God and others
  • Greet everyone with the love of Christ
  • Perform callings and duties with enthusiasm and excellence
  • Evangelize, conduct revivals, pray in homes, corresponds with new visitors
  • Nurture new converts and provide them with a solid biblical foundation
  • Encourage those who are unsure of their salvation
  • Provide knowledge on how to overcome strongholds
  • Weekly visitations by the Sick and Shut-in Team

We believe in the grace of God by which God reconciled mankind back to Himself through the atoning sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ, who is the only way, truth and life. 1 Timothy 3:16 (HCSB) states "And most certainly the mystery of godliness is great. He was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels, preached among the Gentiles, believed on in the world, taken up in glory." We now anticipate the second coming of Christ, our Lord and Savior.
